I'm currently stuck in the U.S. App Store and cannot download apps because my account is not valid there.
A pop-up is telling me to switch to the U.K. Store before purchasing.

just go to your home page in iTunes and scroll all the way to the bottom and there you will see all the countries,just click on the one you want.

I've just solved it —
Settings — iTunes & App stores — click on Apple ID and sign out.
Go back to App Store and hey presto you're in the UK store.
