App to view a second iPad camera

I watched a cool YouTube clip where a hallowe'en costume had two iPads, one at the back, one at the front connected by FaceTime so you could see right "through" the person wearing them. But is there a better way to connect the two other than FaceTime? I want to use this costume out and about where there is no wifi. A FaceTime Bluetooth connection would work well if there is an app for this.

    Any help?

You can FaceTime two iPads over cellular if you are on Verizon. You might be able to use Skype, too. Bluetooth is not suitable to video transfers as it is too slow.
