Hi all,

Here is what happens: i write a note, Change it a lot of times, than it disappears?

It seems to only happened with notes that I have added to a lot or changed a lot.

I get the note to be exactly how I want it, than its gone?

This is pissing me off at this point.

Any ideas why this happens?

This situation seems a bug for notes. After item has changed x times, just notes delete it cause some writing problem etc. I use evernote instead of notes because it syncs notes with server so you have backup in case something goes wrong. Notes app dont sync notes with icloud. Tested at work with iphones.
You should find some other apps for notes. Hope this will help you!

I had the same experience with notes this past Christmas. I had written out my Christmas Day menu making changes along the way as I was deciding what to serve and when I went back to look at it to go shopping with the list I also made I couldn't find either of the notes. I never thought it was a glitch in the app but something I had done.
Now I know why it happened. Looks like another shoddy app like Maps that you have to keep hidden in the app graveyard screen.

Notes have disappeared on me, too. So I switched to Evernote.

I use Notes and Evernote, I have one particular note in the Notes App which I have changed around three times a day, everyday for the last 18 months.......and it's still there, so I'm not certain that if there is a bug it's due a note being changed, there may be something else going on here.

Seems to be a problem with iCloud. I've also run into problems like this because of iCloud.

If you want to be absolutely safe, just disable iCloud for notes.

My disappearing notes episode happened before iCloud.

A rare, but persistent, problem with notes disappearing in Notes has been around for quite a while; before iCloud in fact. In the past syncing with iCloud (or MobileMe) seemed to cure it for most. Now, from what I'm hearing, it's not mattering whether you are synced or not. People form both sides are losing notes.

I have three recommendations:

One: Switch to Evernote. I'm biased, because I love the app, so you're free to choose another poison; or stick with Notes and make it work, darn it all!

Two: Send feedback to Apple. Include as much background and device information as you can. No anger or name calling. People listen better when they are not feeling defensive. Apple - iPad - Feedback

Three: Start a new thread where you share this same info, as much detail about situation, use, and devices as you can. Encourage other people with the same problem to participate. Perhaps a pattern will emerge. One that can be reliably tested.

I'm doubtful that the third option will get far, but it will provide more facts to work with, and if you include the Apple Feedback link, perhaps increase Apple's awareness and urgency in dealing with the problem.
