CAD drawing design

I am a do it yourselfer and want to draw some designs for something's I am planning on building around the house. I am trying to find an app that will help with this but all the ones I have found so far will not let me draw what I have in mind with my dimensions or wood thickness. Does anyone know of an app that will let me do this. I'm trying to draw a pantry design, some bookcases, and coffee style tables. Any help would be appreciated.
