Can anybody recommend a thin iPad 3 case that I wouldnt need to take off when putting it onto my iluv docking station

How about a skin? They are very thin...Bodyguardz.com or icarbons.com. It will protect against scratches.

The stick on, but the material makes it easy to get any bubbles out and to get the aligned. The one from iCarbons requires a hair dryer or heat gun.

The iPad doesn't make a lot of heat...it just gets a bit warm.
