Charging speed of USB cable

    Charging speed of USB cable

    So is it true that old USB charger cables for iPad/iPhone charge the iDevices at a much lower speed compared to brand new ones?

    Are you talking just the cable between the charger and the iDevice - or the charger/cable combo?

    The iPad charger itself is a high current (2.1A) unit - significantly higher than other iDevice chargers.
