I got a Tom Bihn Ristretto for 11" MacBook Air which is a little larger than the one for the iPad. Great bag! I am having a hard time reducing my load of junk to fit nicely.

I have the TomBihn Ristretto for the iPad, and it's been fantastic. Yes, it's a bit pricy, but great padding and room for the Ipad 2, an external keyboard, the dock (as a stand), charger, along with pockets that fit my Ipod Touch and Droid phone as well as two pens or a pen and a stylus and room for a couple of pipes and a pouch of tobacco--plus a pocket in the back for a magazine or papers that I'm working with.
Not big enough is relative. Yes it is big enough for the iPad in a well padded section, an Apple keyboard, charger, phone, keys, glasses, book, and more. Just not big enough for the kitchen sink I usually carry, lol. I just need to not carry so much junk that I really don't ever even use.Originally Posted by tawcat

Thanks for the advice. Exactly my dilema, I always carry much more then I need. I've even contemplated getting a bag much larger and putting the iPad in a padded sleeve and not worry about the padded compartment.Originally Posted by Tarpasashack

Well... in my experience, people looking for a "perfect" anything never find it, because no matter how stupendous a product is, invariably you can always find some issue with it that "could be done better."
And also, one's needs and expectations are absolutely relative. I'm currently very happy with the messenger bags that I have, and would use them until they fall apart, although I would not describe them as "perfect" nor would I recommend them to everyone.
I think many people looking for accessories sometimes only know what they don't want or like, and go through a long (re)search before deriving some clarity about what they do want (which is totally ok, of course.)

Well folks, the advice, input, and candor is greatly appreciated. Webster has attached common meanings to words that sometimes are not "spot on."
I realize I'll never find the "perfect" bag, I've owned perfect before, but then wished the zipper went the other way or the velcro was too loud, or................, you get my point. Which was the ponit of many.
Eventually I'll "settle" on a near perfect bag and become satisfied and make it work.
I do appreciate all the ideas as this will lead me to an end. Life is good!!!!
