Hi guys due to an unfortunate stock issue I have to settle for the white ipad 2 instead of the black I wanted. Originally I was going to get the black leather smart cover but now I'm worried about the colors clashing. Im now thinking about now either the navy, beige or the black cover.

Any recommendations? Do you still think the Black will be okay?

White is a neutral color (and a most attractive iPad, IMHO). Black will look great, as well any color.

Definitely red.

Red on white is timeless and simply gorgeous. YMMV

I have had both the white and black on at same time, side by side.
You would be surprised how much brighter the screen on the black appears.

On the red smart cover, I love it but am reading lots of negative reviews.
Color rubs off.
Dirties easily.
Shame as was thinking of getting one to use at times in place of my black one.
