Anybody know a good webcam that is compatible with ipad and a pc. Have a couple different applications in mind, one would be letting the grandparents see the grandkids during a call and the other would be using ipad as a baby monitor.

U need:

-iphone with camera
-ipad/PC/MAC or a laptop
-WiFI connection with internet
-WiFi cam (app) WiFiCam iPhone application - AppStoreHQ (there are several apps like this, this was just one of them)

Just start the WiFicam when u are hooked up on your WiFi connection and a IP adress will pop up, just enter the ip adress given by the app WiFiCam in ANY browser from any place In the world and then u see, (no sound & a bit slow framerates, but still works fine, works fine WITH a regular babysitter coz u need to hear as well.).

There are apps such as this one iCam - Webcam Video Streaming for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store that allow a cam to transmit it's images to the iPad. The other end needs to have the app as well with a camera.

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but it appears that it is quite possible to achieve what you'd like to do.
