    ipad and movies

    I love my ipad 4, but I am not as excited with how recent movies look. Is there something I can do to minimize the lines on the top and bottom when watching widescreen movies?

    Did you press the little button on the upper right to zoom the video? I don't recommend this because it chops off the sides of the movies. The reason for the line is because the director used a aspect ratio that is different from that of the iPad. Frankly, IMO, if you are willing to watch a movie on a tablet then the little bit lost on the top/bottom is insignificant compared to what you would see on a TV of just about any size.
