    iPad 4 Screen

Do scratches on the iPad get bigger over time? It's 1cm long and barely noticeable. I'm not quite sure how it appeared on the first place, but I'm looking to take my screen protector off. Would the scratch get bigger over time?

Edit: Once I saw the scratch, I freaked out and put on a screen protector, but it really kills the display. I want to take it off, but was unsure if scratches would get bigger if I did so.

I'm confused. The scratch was there before you applied the screen protector or it became apparent after you put it on?

A scratch won't get bigger unless you scratch it some more. You should review how that scratch occurred. Is your ipad in a case and what do you let in contact with the screen? It takes some ing really hard to scratch the screen, but something as tiny as a grain of sand or dirt will get the job done. Or a diamond ring. Most metals are too soft to scratch the screen, so keys, pens, knives and such wont get it done. But if you do what you did before you can get more scratches.

    Best.

If you're tempted to use an optical polish, DON'T. They contain abrasives and will damage the oleophobic coating on your iPad screen.

It's something you'll have to live with.

Nothing will happen. Just keep using it. Just take care of it. Good luck.

It won't get bigger, until you scratch the screen again. If you don't like putting screen guard then use some pouch.
