How to get all contacts from google contacts to my ipad.

My settings on the ipad show contacts under hotmail. There does not seem to be an option for google contacts.
My contacts for computer and phone are synced. with google.
How do I get them all synced. with the ipad?
Do I have to export from google in one of the allowed formats, then import somewhere else?
Then each time I change a contact on phone or computer, would I have to redo it because they don't sync?

Open the Settings application on your device.
Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select Add Account...
Select Other
Select Add CardDAV Account
Fill out your account information in the following fields:
Server: Enter "google.com"
User Name: Enter your full Google Account or Google Apps email address.
Password: Your Google Account or Google Apps password. (If you’ve enabled 2 Step verification, you’ll need to generate and enter an application specific password.)
Description: Enter a description of the account (e.g. Personal Contacts).
Select Next at the top of your screen.
Make sure that the "Contacts" option is turned to ON.
After you've completed setup, open the Contacts app on your device, and syncing will automatically begin.

So far it's all good. AVPlayerHD was my other question, but after reading several posts, I went ahead and purchased it. That app rocks.
