I have the same problem ... It's been going on for 2 days now. When I click "like" absolutely nothing happens ... And if I try to "comment" my iPad shuts off ... Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi and welcome to the forum from South Australia. You (and kimrod7) could try these fixes. Your iPad RAM may need to be generally tidied up.
Try these three steps, known to be good fixers for a sluggish iPad and funny-acting apps..
1) Press the Home screen button twice (or do a four-finger swipe upwards) when the apps currently in memory will show up on the task bar below. Hold down on any icon until they all start to wiggle and then tap all the minus signs to delete them, including that recalcitrant FB app.
2) Hold down both the ON/Sleep and Home buttons until the screen goes black. Keep holding until the white Apple logo appears, the let both buttons go. Wait patiently until the iPad resets/reboots. Slide the On button and your iPad should run much sweeter.
3) Try Settings>Safari> Clear data and also clear cookies.
Let us know how that went.
Regards, Andrew

Hi Andrew, tried the last two and they didn't work. I access FB via safari. It only seems to lock up after making one comment or like then I can't tap on on comment or like spots, the keyboard won't come up. Will keep trying. If any other thoughts from the forum would be good.

I did try your suggestions and was not able to resolve problem. I also went to the Apple Store in Frisco Texas and they tried several things which was not able to resolve the problem with FB. I have another appointment later today at the Apple Genius Bar of which they are suppose to dive deeper into the problem. I will post the results after I return.

Okay we took the iPad 3 to the local Apple Store and went to the Genius Bar and they went through everything including changing out the iPad 3 and still were having the problem with FB. So those that own iPad 3 with the problem with FB can relax as the problem is not a problem with the iPad 3. All we can do now is wait for Apple and FB to work out the problem. Apple also tried FB in the store with other iPad 3 and all had the same problem with FB.
Mine also does it. It started when FB changed over some stuff having to do with security I believe. This happened about the beginning of the week. I have complained to FB but until more of us email them I doubt nothing will happen.
