    Restrictions!

    My son has tried to play music on his ipad 3 today but nothing will play, after checking settings he has found his restrictions have been turned on...... He hasn't turned them on and no one else has access to his ipad due to a password to unlock is set.....(even though he has blamed everyone else in the house!) lol What could've happened? He has tried the pin to turn it off but to no avail!

    Restrictions has a lock code that is independent of the Passcode used to access the iPad.

    If the lock code is unknown, the simplest way to regain control is to restore from a backup that was created before the restrictions were applied.

    But how would it have been set if no one actually set it as they couldn't gain access to it?

    I would assume that someone indeed set it and either forgot, didn't realize what he/she was doing, or is fibbing.

    Love Apple at the Southgate Mall. It's very pleasant in there.
    I've been meaning to go back there soon myself.

    Just to look around, drool on the new MacBooks and new iPads too.
