No sound for Facebook app notifications

Hey there ,
I am not able to hear sounds for the notifications on my Facebook app. My volume buttons are at max and also the side switch is unmuted. When I check the my Facebook app, I see badges on it but no sounds come for the notification so I m pretty reply late for the mesgs I get lately. It used to work fine a couple of days ago.

The notifications and sounds are working fine for my other apps eg.yahoo messenger...I still get sounds and notifications from the yahoo app without a problem. Looking for assistance for this issue. Would like to get it resolved...thanks in advance
