Hi there-to restart your iPad...you press the power button to power off.
To reset you iPad...you have to press the home button and power button at the same time. Does thar help?

Does reset means i also reset the data in my ipad??

If I do that and double tap my home screen all the apps are still open and safari still on last page Originally Posted by skimonkey

Restarting normally closes the apps for me. I think its a 5.1.1 feature.
