Texting Issue

I have an iphone 4 and the new ipad and ever since I got the ipad my texts to various people end up going to multiple people at the same time even though it is not a group text. When I sent a text to my son his photo shows up as the sender and my wife gets the text at the same time. When he responds it also shows his picture and goes to both parites. I can't find anything in settings that would cause this. Any thoughts

This same thing happe s to me, I will be watching g this thread. I have had to turn off Imessage to avoid it.

Hmm...that's interesting. Are you using the same email address for both the ipad and iphone when imessaging? Maybe use a different email address for your ipad and see if this changes your settings for who you are sending to.

I'm with SkiMonkey.

I would guess you own multiple apple devices and that the same email address is tied to them.

While the same iTunes account can be used without communications issues such as yours email address shared on several devices can cause grief.

If you are using iMessage on a device it should be done with a unique email address.
