About LinkBacksWhen I go abroad my iPhone automatically updates to local time.. My new iPad does not..? I have the settings the same on both. (On auto).

Could be that the iPhone polls the cellular towers and gets the time/time zone information from them, and the iPad does not. If its a wifi only iPad that is definitely the reason.

Do you have Location services turned on?
If so, and the iPad is Wi-Fi only, you may need to connect to a local wifi spot before it figures out where it is and what time it is. The iPad (iPhone) only download wi-fi hotspot info for a certain distance around the devices. If you move out of that area, and it can not connect to get more data, it will not know where it is until it can connect again.
