What will happen when I do first sync with iTunes. Will iTunes know difference from iPad and iPhone. As I don't want all iPhone apps on iPad.

When you connect your iPad you can run through the tabs at the top of the iTunes window on your computer to set up your sync options choosing what you want on your iPad and what you don't want.

iTunes sync
I really am a dummy when it comes to using iTunes. I do back up to iCloud everyday or so but haven't to iTunes ( but maybe once when 1st got iPad).
Need to know how to back up to iTunes and sync without wiping out items already on iPad.
And of course want to make sure it doesn't sync with what's on iPhone.
