What you have to do is go to the bottom of the iTunes and App Store home page. Originally Posted by Ronfromcocoa

Tap on it and select view Apple ID in the pop up

Select payment information.
Choose none as the payment method.

If you're unable to get the "none" option, follow these steps (note step No. 3):
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
This is in cases when you've already got an existing iTunes account activated on your iDevice and are trying to create or use another account and are trying to get the "none" option.
