Need to activate password protection on App Store

Schoolteacher with school iPad and I have $$ on my account. Have been downloading apps without getting the password protection. Do NOT want my students downloading apps at will...help!

Tried duplicating but could not. Everytime I tried to make a purchase free or paid it asked for Apple ID password. If you need to change it go here: https://iforgot.apple.com/cgi-bin/We...woa/wa/iforgot

The password will usually stay good for up to 15 minutes after you enter it for one purchase.

Passwords are no longer needed to update current apps.

You can lock the ability to install apps in Settings > General > Restrictions. Just don't forget the passcode you enter. If you're letting your students grab the iPad for stuff you might want to look over the other settings in this area.
