uplugged lcd now Ipad 2 not working

I dropped my ipad 2 and broke the screen so I replaced it, in the process I tore the power cable flex ribbon. So I ordered a new one and installed it. I then plugged the lcd in to see if it would power on and it did!!! great, but I did not hook up the digitizer so I could not scroll through and check the function of the volume controls or camera, nor could I power down. So I unplugged the the lcd and plugged in the digitizer and plugged the lcd back in and now it won't power on at all. Did I "fry" my ipad? I worked once now it won't.

I read about a gadzillion of the forum post and searched every way I could and could not find anything remotely close to this problem so I hope someone can help.
