About LinkBacksMy ipad says that i am using 12.5 gb and that i have 1.3 gb space available (16 gb ipad 2). However, i deleted almost every app. I am only using less than 1 gb. Any suggestions on where i can find where this usage is coming from and how i might fix it. Thx

I think you should restore it and don't load backup.

Go to Settings > General > Usage > Storage > Show all.
That shows a breakdown of what's taking up storage and how much of it.

I checked my usage and it doesn't add up to even one gb. I am trying to restore but i must have put a security code in. It asks for one but i dont have one.

The memory usage you are seeing is coming from the operating system and pre-installed apps. For example the 16GB iPad only has 13.3GB of usable storage.
iPhone 4s 64GB White (Jailbroken), The "New iPad" 16GB Black (Stock), Past devices: iPad 2, HTC Hero, HTC Evo, HTC Evo 3D, ASUS Transformer.
