You mean the home button? Time to take it back for a replacement. In the meantime, go to Settings/General/Accessibility/Assistive Touch. Turn it on, and you can find a software home button that you can place anywhere on the screen.

Thanks Kelvin, yea I meant my home button, but is just a month old, is it really a dust, software or hardware problem?

Almost certainly a hardware problem. Luckily the home button is becoming redundant, but I'd still take it back.

Yes. I drive around the oil and gas fields in western Canada most of the time. I have some videos on YouTube shot through the windshield of my truck. The iPad was duct taped in place.

If you search YouTube for "downhill all the way" you can find one of them. The soundtrack is Chris Rea and "the road to hell".
