About LinkBacksI inherited an iPad2 from a friend. The iPad was working until I added a password to get into it ( a 4 digit password). Now, when I try to enter the password, it says it is the wrong pwd. There is really nothing on it yet, like documents, contacts, etc, so would like to restore to factory fresh so I can start over. Is this possible without knowing the password?

Yes, I guess so... Just restore with iTunes.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and choose "Erase all content and settings".

If you can't get into the iPad because of the password,you will have to go to iTunes on your computer and wile the iPad is connected with the USB cable erase all content and settings from there,this bypasses the password block.
