Connecting ipad2 to television

Hi, as a newbie, how do I connect the iPad to the telly specifically to watch the BBC iPlayer?

Word of advice I have just ordered a few bits from eBay, including an hdmi iPad connector cheapest one on eBay, it's been a month and still have no items. So when shopping around always find the best deal yourself. Not always the cheapest. Good luck!

Hi I have just purchased an hdmi adapter a genuine apple. I know there have been a few issues, which seem to be around how the adater connects to the iPad. I believe the latest adapter connects with a release mechanism and once is place is very stable. I have had no problems at all, it works really well. Buy the adapter that comes in a box from apple and not the one in the packet. I did buy a non-apple and it was awful.
