When I Facetime someone, all is great on my end but the other person gets a lot of static. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know a fix for it?

If you've got some headphones with a microphone, try that instead of the built in mic.
Culled this from elsewhere. You may have a blocked microphone. Use a crevice tool from a vacuum cleaner to suck out any débris from the hole at the top of the iPad. It is tiny and easily blocked. Give it a couple of minutes and try to get a good seal. Then reset. It has worked for other people, believe it or not.
