Question My iPad broke its screen, so I need help finding a specific type of program. Help!!!

My iPad broke its screen. I can try to back it up, but since I used to have a passcode I can't. So I wonder if there's a program that would help me see the screen of my iPad 2 on my computer's monitor.
Like by connecting my iPad 2 using the USB and opening a program that would do that. I truly need help... Please!!!

If I am not mistaken, If you use the VGA adapter cable you should be able to see the screen on a monitor .

CLOSING APPS: If an app has stopped responding or closes on launch, try the following: * Home screen * click the Home button twice * Tap and hold on the app * When it jiggles, tap the (-) to close it * Double-click the Home button and re-open the app

I can get this cable, but I wonder if I'll be able to type the passcode since the screen is completely dead.

The screen may be dead but it's possible that the digitizer may still work.If it does, and you mirror the display on a television screen you should be able to watch the tv while maneuvering your finger on the touch screen.
    This may help.
Airplay mirroring, How to get it to use full screen on TV.

True, but unfortunately you won't know 'till you try.

I don't think there will be a program that will let you enter the code outwith the iPad, without having the matching app installed on the pad, which you obviously can't do.

I want to say thank you so much for the information you guys gave me. I was able to use the VGA Adapter Cable and using my computer monitor I was able to turn off the passcode and do a back-up. That saved my life, it was after all five days worth of data.
