imessage sent tone

How do i get rid of the imessage swoosh sound please...this is when a message is sent

Im not sure you can get rid of it unless you use mute,i could be wrong but i kind of like it.

As far as I can tell, this is the same sound that the iPad makes when new mail is sent. There is no way to change the fact the sound is made when either a new iMessage or a new mail is sent. However, you CAN change the actual sound that is made.

Go to your Settings app and under General, there's a line for Sounds. Press on that and you'll then see a line titled "Sent Mail." If you press on that line, you'll be offered a choice of sounds that you can select.

One of those choices, just above the list of sounds, is None. Just saying.

It is what I have my New Mail sound set too.

Huh. Never even noticed the "None" line.

You caught me out. I LIKE to have the sounds play. Guess I just mentally blocked out that None (and I even looked at the list before I posted!).

So, there you go, JayneMR - you CAN have no sound.

No problem. I prefer most of the sounds too, but I get tired of the iPad beeping night and day whenever an emails get pushed.
