iPad Storage Security

Hi,

I am doing a small research on the iPad security for my company.

Since iPad is using flash drive, how secure is it? Suppose somebody stole my iPad and try to get the documents/data stored in the iPad, the person doesn't have the password and my iPad is protected by the 10 fails data erase enabled. So is it possible for the person to just crack the iPad and take out the flash drive and then read the flash drive for my document/data?

I would just use Find My iPhone/iPad and wipe the drive clean if it was stolen.

The iPad does not use a flash drive in the same sense that a laptop might. The memory is soldered to the board. You can't just remove it.

Still, if someone can get ahold of your hardware, no matter what hardware it is, there is always a chance they can get to the files. Use the same precautions you would on any other computer or mobile device. If you need to carry sensitive data, then make sure you store it using apps that encrypt that data using modern encryption methods.

Such apps exist for most types of files and/or data.
