Try holding the power button and home button at the same time for awhile. Hopefully that will power cycle it and reboot it.
iPhone 4s 64GB White (Jailbroken), The "New iPad" 16GB Black (Stock), Past devices: iPad 2, HTC Hero, HTC Evo, HTC Evo 3D, ASUS Transformer.
Also try attaching charger to see if that awakens it.Originally Posted by f5joe
Also try attaching it iTunes via USB.
As Seneca has indicated a hard reset as he describes is likely your best bet.
Background apps are hiding for good reason. Seek them out, close them. The world will be a better place.
Sorry for the mentioned drama. It did reset as you outlined. WHEW! Going to Alaska and really want to use it to commuicate with.
Thanks!!!! Joe

Close background apps.
Double press home button and task bar appears with recently used apps.
Long press any of them until it wobbles and displays a red minus sign.
Tap the minus signs to remove apps from RAM. This does NOT delete the app it removes it from background memory and frees up the resources for the iPad.

Hi Joe, please don't delete posts unless they are there by error, if it stays it allows others who have the same problem to see the solution.Originally Posted by f5joe
