    Downloading photos from a compact flash card

    I have a Canon 40D camera and the CF card is to large for my camera connect kit. How do I download to the IPAD? Do I first have to down load into my computer and then transfer pictures, or is there a way to directly transfer pics?

    Hello CAROLYNRAE! Welcome to the forum. I would plug in the camera to the camera connection kit and download from there into your iPad.

    Also, you can use a powered hub and card reader or a powered card reader. I use this one for my cf cards http://www.amazon.com/IOGear-Combo-R...5642053&sr=8-1

    I agree. I connect my Nikon D200 which also uses CF to the iPad via a USB hub, with no problems.
