No. There is no way to copy a track from the Music app to an email. While there is nothing to stop you from adding any kind of audio file you like to Music (via iTunes), it was primarily designed to be an audio player for purchased music. As such it does not support direct sharing or exporting of it's files.

If you need to send an mp3 (or other audio file) to someone via email you'll have to download it to the iPad by some other means.

There is an app called Song2email. It's in the app store. Allows you to do just what you asked.

Thank you. It is nice to know that this is available if needed.

However; a word of warning to those who might abuse it, or misunderstand the issues. Although iTunes songs are DRM free, they do contain embedded information on who purchased them. If for some reason they should end up widely available on the internet, even if you didn't mean it to happen, you may have some tough questions to answer.

So, think about where you send your iTunes music. Only your immediate family members are included in you license (by the EULA).

You never know when the RIAA might decide to try and make some more public examples.

Music you own the rights to and public domain are not an issue, of course.
