About LinkBacksHy would only two icons (google maps and iTunes) on my iPad 2 be blank ( no picture just grey). How this happened - don't know - done lathing different. Rebooted and to no avail .... Still blank. Please help. Thanks

Is your iPad jail broken? If it is, and respring doesn't sort it out, install iCacheWipe [free] from Cydia. When you open it, it'll automatically clean the cache and respring your iPad. Works for me when/if I get the white icon.
If your iPad is not jail broken, then sorry, but I don't know what is causing the icons to be blank. Maybe someone else does...?

It has happened before to me, but before I was jailbroken. It fixed itself randomly. Sorry don't have an answer for you
