newbie, while I've done lots of reading about all things to do with iPad2 setup

My main curiosity after hours of reading, is trying to determine the most effective method for moving contacts from Outlook to the iPad2 and this topic offers many methods. I need to hear from some people who have done it and can tell me where the problems develop so that when I do it, it's problem-free. This is currently my #1 next step if I'm convinced about method. Knowing about 3 or 4 methods isn't enough. I am searching for person who is experienced and states with authority with my circumstances what method is best & problem-free.

Open Outlook, select all your contacts, and export them as a vCard file. Now you have a backup, and you can be less paranoid about picking a guaranteed trouble free method; which I doubt anyone here would be willing to commit to.

You can do pretty much the same thing with Calendars, only a .ics file.

Outlook Contacts sync throug iTunes? Im using it for years at it works flawless.
