About LinkBacksHi, yep ipad2 for Xmas and beginning to get to grips (aka love it). I've just put my 3G micro sim in and now can't tell if I'm using the sim or my home wifi. In my settings it shows my home network but there is a strength bar with a 3 and radio signal...I'm a bear of little brain Could someone put me straight please?

If you see a fan-like icon, you are on WiFi, eve when/if you see the carrier name or the "3G" icon.
No fan means you are on 3G.

If you see the radio signal (increasing quarter cirles) then you are using the wifi signal. Even if the 3G symbol is shown as well. Wifi will always take precedent over 3G if both are available to the ipad.
