About LinkBacksHow come sometimes it's a trash can and other times it's an icon of a box?
Why can't they just use a trash can without causing confusion using a different icon when deleting something?

Because when it's a box, that means its set up to Archive, not delete, your mail.
You can change the behavior in the Settings app, but they are two entirely different operations.
