    My brand new iPad2

Just bought my very first Apple product (I'm 67 years of age!) on Black Friday. Great little machine, but how do I delete an app I've put on it by mistake?

Touch and hold the app in question and it will start to wiggle and there will be a little x in its top corner. Just touch this x and the iPad will ask if your sure you want to delete it - answer yes and it's gone - done.

P.S. welcome to the iPad and hope you continue to enjoy it - it's not perfect but it's still excellent.
At my age it can be difficult to understand what others regard as simple!

Not at all, we have all been there, it was new to us all at some stage so don't be afraid to use our search facility or ask a question.

If you go into iBooks and then to Store do a search for "iPad User Guide for iOS 5". It's a free book but highly detailed and you can search on it too. I have it on my iPad for reference.
