    What is the point of turning on the debug console?

    I turned it on and found that it was only useful for detecting errors..are there any benefits from turning it on?

    At the risk of sounding flippant, it is so you can debug / report errors on websites in Safari... Mostly of use to developers... No benefits to the majority of users, at least not left turned on all the time. Turn it OFF
