About LinkBacksHi. I was wandering if anyone knows whether leaving an iPad plugged in after the charge has finished has any negative effect on battery performance? For example if I plug it in tonight when I go to sleep and leave it plugged in for 8 hours even though a full cycle charge only takes 3 hours or so, will this effect the battery performance?? Cheers.

Not as far as I am aware. The battery/iPad are set up to stop charging once full.
I've been plugging my iPad in every night for the past year and have noticed zero negative effects. So, there's that.
It's a built-in feature - the iPad battery won't overcharge.

That's good to know. Cheers. I thought it would be ok. 99% of people will charge overnight.

No problem at all. Assuming you are using either the Apple equipment or its equivalent the battery will not "overcharge."
