    My ipad2 will only display "dissolve" transition when connected to HDTV using HDMI. When I disconnect from TV
    all available transitions appear in the drop-down .

    Welcome to ipf,

    According to two sources online, it appear that that is the only option if you are mirroring your iPad onto the tv.

    Thx for taking the time.I am using an HDMI cable to connect the iPad through the DV adapter.Do you think I will get the same result using apple tv?Thx again.

    As far as I can tell, only on a second generation apple tv using AirPlay and an iPad 2
