About LinkBacksI have purchased a 64gb 3G ipad2 and when it is plugged into the charger it makes a little sound to let you know it is charging. My wife however has a 16gb wifi only one and when it is plugged in doesn,t make any noise. Is this because of spec differences or the way we have "tinkered" with various settings?

Probably the way you've tinkered with the settings. Maybe your wife has her volume lower or she may have mute off.
Either way -the iPad's normal process is to make that sound when plugged in, so it's definitely a sound setting on your wife's iPad.

After much testing and playing about with both we have discovered that because my wife fully turns her pad off before charging it doesn,t make a noise where-as I just tend to flip the cover shut and plug in so mine is only ever in sleep mode.
