Depends, if you have 3G and wifi version you can text through your carrier or iMessage, if only have wifi version then you can only message through iMessage. I believe that is correct anyway.

When texting between iPhones the text box will highlight blue to signify iMessage
You have to enable it. Settings - messages - iMessageLast edited by leelai; 10-14-2011 at 08:03 AM.

Anybody having the problem with the send button being greyed out? I successfully sent a few messages and now cannot.😳

No. Try to turn off phone and turn back on, that usually fixes those kinds of issues. Good luck!
