MSN and Hotmail are the same, yes?
Here is how to set up your iPad for Hotmail, as an Exchange account. Do the same on your computer (as close as possible) and it should end your problem.
How To Setup Hotmail Using Exchange ActiveSync On Your iPhone, iPad And iPod Touch For Push Email, Calendar & Contacts – iPhone Hacks
If Hotmail has an IMAP setup (I don't know) you could set up both the computer and iPad that way with similar results.
when i did mine, long time ago...simplified(same thing as link from other poster)
On your iPhone, go to Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars->Add Account->Microsoft Exchange
Fill the 4 required fields as follows:
Email: your Hotmail address, for example your.name@hotmail.com
Domain: [ Leave this blank ]
Username: your Hotmail address again
Password: your password for this Hotmail account
Tap "Next"
A new field called "Server" appears. Fill it as follows:
Server: m.hotmail.com
Tap "Next"
Select the Hotmail services you wish to sync ( Mail, Calendar, Contacts )
Tap "Done"
Waiting for that “Next Thing” means you’d never buy anything.
do yourself a favour and grab a Gmail account....thank me later.
hotmail....
google gmail
notice the notes, keep your notes synced in the air.
....
