    Activate Verizon data plan without wifi

    Just got q Verizon iPad 2 and haven't activated the data plan yet. When I decide to, is it necessary that I am connected to wifi or can I do it without it? Thanks

    Don't need to do it over wifi. Just go to settings> cellular data> view account. And that should allow you to activate the cell data plan. No need for wifi. Did mine the same way was on vacation had no wifi. It may take a few min after you enter all your data and credit card and choose your plan to activate.
