Well, I've heard that the wifi version is gonna to be available in May as apple has acquired some kind of permission recently in mainland china.

They are widely available in Hong Kong - but at a very considerable premium.

Don't they make them in China? Go to the factory after quitting time and see if you can meet one of the line workers and buy one hot off the line.
