Have to ask, have you restarted the iPad lately?
Hold down the power button until the red power off slider appears. Slide to shut down. Wait until the iPad completely powers down, then hold the button down again until the Apple logo appears, about 3 seconds.
This will fix most problem of the crashing nature, provided it's not a new app update with bugs. Those you have to wait for the developer to fix.
