About LinkBacksHi,
Is there a function to prevent your IPAD to go into sleep mode temporary? I don't want to change the setting but just want to keep it on for a duration. I use the ipad to access online recipes, and it's frustrating when i'm in the middle of a recipe with both hands dirty and it goes into sleep mode

Temporarily turn off the sleep-mode?
Unless your recipe app has a feature to prevent the iPad from going to sleep, is there no way to prevent sleep mode.

Go to settings>general>auto lock>never

Exactly Stephen, it will still shut off the display if you are using a smart cover on the iPad 2, which is great!

Thank you, I forgot about using the smart cover as a on/off!!
