Transferring music from iPad to iPad 2

I have an iPad 2 arriving soon (I hope). I have a ton of music in my current iPad but I have customized a lot of the "tag" in formation in ways that no longer match my master computer iTunes library (but organizes better for the iPad). Right now I sync manually. I'm wondering whether there is a way to get the iPad music and tag info into my new iPad 2 without having to redo it all? If I sync the iPad automatically, won't the tag info revert to what's in my computer's library?
