The Smart Cover made of wood!

    This case looks amazing!

Miniot Wooden iPad 2 Cover Is Gorgeous

has all the functionality of a smart cover

(my only concern is that it looks wobbly when used as a stand)

but read the article, watch the video - it's incredible!

Yeah. I'm definitely returning my smart cover. I'm not sure I'll buy the Minot cover(70$). But something similar. When I use my iPad at my desk I just don't think that the smart cover raises it enough for me. Would like to buy something that raises it a bit more.

I fold the smart cover in half, flat behind the iPad when reading. This cover doesn't appear to fold In half flat, and it puts hard wood against metal when flipped behind. Certainly would require a cover on the back to prevent wear.

    Good point!

Although I don't think I will get this or the Smart Cover.
Instead I will get one of the folio cases (but one with a small pockets for a camera connector kit and a few 32GB SD Cards so I can put films on them)

I watched the video clip. looks great. only one question... what does the right hand edge of the cover fit into to keep it from slipping. Being a circle form, if the edge slips so does the support. Not so with Apples triangular shape. This is less of a problem in the landscape orientation for watching movie, vs the lower position wherein pressure on the virtual keyboard might cause it to slip. The only way to know is test it. Weight could be more ... Does look nice ... clever idea ...$70 too much for my budget, but your choice.
